Pizza in a Bowl {recipe}

AJ is finally starting to feel better. I took her back to the doctor yesterday, and since we had been there on Monday an ear infection had developed. Poor kiddo. She had to miss her first Halloween party this morning, which is a total bummer. It's a good thing she's too old to care yet, but I was still bummed because I really wanted to go!! Oh well. Take 2 tomorrow with festivities at our church. :)

Wishing you all a SAFE and fun Halloween weekend. Don't eat too much candy!

I'm finally starting to get on the ball with recipes for my Day Zero Project. The task at hand is to expand my recipe collection with 30 dinners that I've never made before. Here's #3 -

Pizza in a Bowl

Awhile back I started craving this pizza casserole my mom made while I was growing up, so I called her up to get the recipe, and now I'm happy to share it with you! This stuff if delicious!

Ingredients:
1lb lean ground beef
2 cups noodles (I like to use rotini, but any will work)
1 can of tomato sauce (8oz)
1 can of pizza sauce (15oz)
Grated Parmesan cheese (about 1/2 cup)
8 oz package of pepperoni
2 cups shredded mozzarella
+ any other pizza flavors you like!

Directions (Preheat Oven to 350)
1. Cook your pasta as the package suggests. Drain and set aside. While pasta is cooking, brown your ground beef. Drain any excess and leave in the pan.

2. Chop 4oz of pepperoni (about half an 8oz package) to whatever consistency you like.

3. In the ground beef pan, add tomato sauce, pizza sauce, noodles and chopped pepperoni. Stir.

4. Spoon mixture into a casserole dish (doesn't really matter what size, I use 9X13") Layer top with pepperoni.

5. Sprinkle grated parmesan over top of pepperoni layer. Top with 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, and heat through at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

Serves 6-8. Enjoy!!
